Camping Les Couleurs de la Coubre – A Relaxed and Well-equipped Holiday Destination in Charente-Maritime
Camping Les Couleurs de la Coubre is a hidden gem in western France, near the village of Les Mathes. This four-star campsite is set within a vast and beautiful forest, not far from the beaches of La Palmyre and La Tremblade, and just north of Royan. You will be staying in a green pine forest only 6 kilometres from the wide sandy beaches.

What could be better than a tropical lagoon during your dream holiday?
A wonderful French campsite with some of the most beautiful beaches nearby – but even more impressive is the fantastic lagoon pool with a real sandy beach where you can truly relax. It’s perfect for children too, as the water slopes gently. You won’t need to leave the campsite for food or drinks. The restaurant serves delicious meals, all with views over the stunning lagoon pool. During high season, enjoyable activities are organised for all ages. How about a yoga session or aqua gym? Various sports fields are also spread across the holiday park.

Plenty to see and do
For cycling enthusiasts, this is a fantastic area. Several cycle paths start directly from the campsite, winding through green landscapes and along the coast. The beautiful sandy beach near the charming town of La Palmyre is sheltered in the bay of Bonne Anse, where you will also find numerous bars and restaurants. Royan, an authentic seaside resort with a lovely promenade, is also well worth a visit. You could explore the oyster beds at Marennes or Brouage, surrounded by 17th-century town walls. The delightful islands of Île de Ré and Île d’Oléron are highly recommended, as is the harbour city of La Rochelle with its picturesque old port. From Île d’Oléron you can even spot the famous Fort Boyard. For children, a visit to La Palmyre Zoo is highly recommended.
