The lovely town of Ravenna is a real gem, once the capital of the Byzantine empire, it’s famous today for the colourful mosaics adorning many of its central buildings – it has no less than 8 listed heritage sights. Cycle through pinewood forest from Marina Terme to Marina di Ravenna  and you'll find dotted along the pier high-tech fishing huts, a marble sculpture and a windmill covered in mosaics!
