This green mini-campsite is situated in the beautiful, park-like landscape of the Frisian Woodlands (Friese Wouden). The spacious pitches are spread generously across the grounds. To maintain peace and quiet, cars are parked in a separate designated area. Cyclists are well catered for, with charging points available for e-bikes. The surrounding area offers excellent opportunities for walking and cycling. Furthermore, the ferry ports of Holwerd and Lauwersoog are within easy reach for day trips to the islands of Ameland and Schiermonnikoog.

Relaxation and Stargazing
Camping De Wedze, located in the village of Twijzel, is a haven for peace seekers and nature lovers. Hire a bike to discover the Frisian countryside, or simply unwind on the campsite with a good book and a drink. You will find spacious pitches offering plenty of shade and privacy. The nights at this small, green site are truly dark, giving you the chance to admire a breathtaking starry sky. If the weather turns, guests can make use of the communal recreation room. It’s a dry and cosy spot to play board games, read a magazine, or watch TV. You will also find plenty of local information here to help you plan your next cycling route on a rainy afternoon.
