Glamping camping '"Friese Meren" is located between the Slotermeer and the Menno van Coehoornbos in the small village of Wijckel in the province of Friesland. A prime location for water sports enthusiasts. The campsite is approximately 6 acres and has more than 250 spacious camping pitches. The owners Ham Jissink and Martine Meijer will do everything they can to provide their guests with a pleasant camping holiday. This cozy and lively family campsite is located in the middle of the Gaasterland, a few hundred meters from the Slotermeer (accessible from the campsite via a ditch).

From the terrace at the café you have a good overview of the playground and the indoor swimming pool. Here you will also find the reception and the sanitary block. There is a fun recreation program during the school holidays. You can rent canoes, bicycles and go-karts at the campsite.

Camping Friese Meren is a fantastic place for children. That already starts with the spacious indoor swimming pool with a pleasant temperature of 30 degrees. There is also a separate toddler and toddler pool for the youngest children. You will also find a slide, climbing roller, climbing mat, aqua trampoline and a super attraction at the pool! From the pool you can walk to the terrace outside to relax and sunbathe. During the school holidays there is a team at the campsite that provides a nice small-scale recreation program. You can rent canoes, bicycles and go-karts at the campsite.

Hungry for all the fun activities? There is a cozy eatery. The eatery of Friese Meren also has a terrace overlooking the swimming pool and playground.

You can reach the Slotermeer via a ditch near the campsite. As a result, you can easily explore the Frisian water from the cozy family campsite. But of course you can also discover Friesland on foot, by bike or by car. Such a trip takes you past beautiful forests, extensive meadows and of course the abundance of water that is characteristic of Friesland. A fun challenge is a visit to the Eleven Cities. Enjoy the beautiful façades, canals and museums.

You can make beautiful cycling trips from the campsite. Villages such as Stavoren and Hindeloopen are also worth a visit.
