A remarkably beautiful campsite in the Ardèche region in the South of France. Camping Slow Village La Roque-sur-Cèze (formerly Camping La Vallée Verte) is located on a wooded hillside. To give you an impression: the grounds, of 30 hectares, are secluded and can only be reached by a 1 km driveway! As if that’s not a royal camping holiday… You can also stay in the majestic and spacious RoyalLodge or the adventurous and comfortable SunLodge Safari. These specially designed tents are suitable for campers who want to enjoy a unique camping holiday at a wonderful location!

There are differences in height between the camping pitches and some terraces have unique views of the surrounding area. Slow Village La Roque-sur-Cèze is situated on the River Cèze, a tributary of the Rhône. This section of the Cèze has lovely natural banks, alternating with grass and pebble beaches. Also a great place to fish!

CampingSlow Village La Roque-sur-Cèze has a lovely swimming pool and a sandy beach with beach chairs. The restaurant at Camping Slow Village La Roque-sur-Cèze is very good and the bar is very lively! You can get fresh bread daily at the reception.

The surrounding area is absolutely wonderful; the ideal setting for a holiday full of variety. You are positioned on the intersection of the Ardèche, the Cévennes and Provence. That means: beautiful countryside, waterfalls, gorges such as the Gorges de l’Ardèche, lovely French villages and the vineyards of the Rhône valley. A paradise for hikers. Not to mention the waterfalls at Sautadet which are only a few kilometres away.

Fancy visiting some towns? Wander through the medieval alleyways of Orange or Avignon. You will be rewarded with a bite to eat at a fashionable shady pavement café. A day trip to Mont Ventoux or the Mediterranean at La Grande Motte is easily arranged.

Plenty of activities are organised, for those who want them. Not just the ‘normal’ amusements such as evening parties and pleasant walks, but drawing lessons for example or water colours for beginners and the more experienced. All under the guidance of experienced artists.
