Beschrijving

Camping Les Cerisiers du Jaur is centrally located in the Haut Languedoc, north-west of Béziers in the Hérault region. The campsite is beautifully green, with both sunny and shaded pitches. Some pitches come with private sanitary facilities and a covered washing-up area. For a quick bite there’s a snack bar, and sandwiches and pizzas can be delivered.

A child-friendly green campsite
This small-scale campsite offers plenty of play space for children up to around 7 years old, with a slide and play equipment. Table tennis and pétanque competitions are also organised. The snack bar caters for cravings and sells bread in the mornings. If you don’t feel like cooking, you can have sandwiches and pizzas delivered. There’s also a heated swimming pool. The campsite sits by the River Jaur, which is suitable for fishing, and there’s a private little beach too. When the water level is high enough, you can follow the Jaur to the Orb River, where you can also go canoeing.

Fancy an active holiday?
From the campsite and the surrounding villages you can explore the area with organised walks. Right from the campsite you can also follow a wonderful walking and cycling path: a 75 km Voie Verte runs along a former railway line from Bédarieux to Mazamet. This walking and cycling route links two nature areas (Pais Pas) — Tarn and Hérault.

In the Haut Languedoc nature park you’ll also find the Grotte de Devèze. It was discovered by chance during the construction of a railway line. It’s a “living”, authentic cave with stalactites and stalagmites, considered one of the most beautiful in France. At the entrance you can visit the speleology museum, which contains many original objects. You’ll get explanations about how depths form, how cave chambers develop and how dripstone features appear.

Gastvrij ontvangen. Fijn zwembad om af te koelen en een boekje te lezen. Staanplaats ruim en veel schaduw. Fijne fietsroute vanaf de camping twee kanten op.
