Are you looking for a small-scale campsite without a busy pool complex and without an entertainment team? Then three-star Camping Platzermühle could be just the place for you. Here, you can completely unwind, enjoy something tasty from the barbecue and take in the beautiful green surroundings.

Romantic camping
Platzermühle is located in the east of Germany, in the state of Bavaria, close to the border with the Czech Republic. From young couples to travellers aged fifty plus, anyone looking for peace and relaxation will feel right at home on this idyllic campsite surrounded by nature. Even in the high season, the atmosphere at Platzermühle remains calm and friendly.

Spacious pitches
Platzermühle is a terraced campsite spread over four levels, with around thirty touring pitches and about fifteen permanent pitches. The pitches are very spacious. They are set on grass and generally offer plenty of shelter. All pitches have their own parking space for the car. There are separate pitches for motorhomes and caravans. The caravan pitches have a gravel strip, making it easy to park even in rainy weather and on wet ground.

Regional dishes
After a day of cycling or walking, you can enjoy a lovely meal at the campsite restaurant, Zum Eigenbau. Here you can sample regional dishes. A glass of beer from the local brewery is, of course, part of the experience. The restaurant has room for fifty guests, and on a fine day you can sit in the beer garden, which has space for another twenty people. After dinner, you can enjoy a game of table tennis, and fresh bread is available on the campsite for breakfast the following morning.

Enjoy nature and charming villages with a typical Bavarian feel
Green hills, forests and meadows surround Camping Platzermühle. In between, you will find picturesque villages in traditional Bavarian style. In short, this is an area where both active holidaymakers and those seeking peace and quiet will find plenty to enjoy.

Wellness and culture
Stroll through nearby villages, sample local delicacies and treat yourself to some wellness. Just 2 kilometres from the campsite, you will find the highly regarded and popular Sibyllenbad spa. Enjoy massages, steam baths, the sauna and many other treatments. Lovers of culture, art and history can visit the Bavarian city of Nuremberg or drive to the Czech capital Prague in about two and a half hours. Admire the beautiful architecture of these cities and pick up a few souvenirs to take home.

Discover the countryside
Fancy a more active day? Platzermühle has various cycling and walking routes ready for you to explore the beautiful natural surroundings. Not only in this part of Germany, but also just across the border in the Czech Republic. Discover the area by bike or on foot, cool off at a waterfall and enjoy lunch in one of the historic villages. Besides walking and cycling, there are plenty of other options to keep active. An outdoor swimming pool is 13 kilometres from the campsite, an indoor pool is 10 kilometres away, and just 1 kilometre from Platzermühle there is even an 18-hole golf course.
