This 4-star campsite is situated directly on the River Naab in eastern Bavaria, Germany. Camping Naabtal-Pielenhofen is a wonderful destination for families and couples (50+). Surrounded by meadows and forests, the site offers pitches either by the water or on slightly higher terraced ground, separated by hedges for privacy. Facilities include a skittle alley (bowling), sports fields, and a sauna with a solarium. There is also a restaurant, a shop, and naturally, a traditional Bavarian beer garden on-site.

Fun on the Water
Children will enjoy the large playground or playing on the riverbank. The river is suitable for swimming, and with a permit, you can also go fishing. Boating and canoeing are popular activities here for all ages. The Bach family is happy to provide information on the various walking and cycling routes that start directly from the campsite. (Please note: there is a road on the opposite side of the river). A large supermarket is 5 km away, and both indoor and outdoor swimming pools can be found within 15 km—easily reachable using the campsite's rental bikes.

Medieval Cities and Monuments
Bavaria is a fantastic region for cycling and sightseeing. The historic city of Regensburg is located nearby on the Danube River. As one of Germany's best-preserved medieval cities, its centre is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site. Just outside the city lies the remarkable 'Walhalla' temple. Modelled after the Parthenon in Athens, this neo-classical building was commissioned by King Ludwig I to honour famous figures from German history. Of course, Bavaria is also famous for its beer. Munich, the world capital of beer and home to the Oktoberfest, is just a 90-minute drive away. It is the perfect destination for a day trip to admire monuments, visit museums, and enjoy a drink on a terrace.
