La Grande Vallée

Located in the southern Vendée on the Atlantic coast, the charming seaside resort of La Tranche-sur-Mer is home to Camping La Grande Vallée. Situated amongst trees and just 700 metres from a lovely sandy beach, this small yet popular campsite is known for its pleasant and friendly atmosphere. The sanitary facilities are neat and well-maintained. The owner, Virginie, offers a warm welcome to all guests in both French and English.

Beaches and Cycling Paths
With over 200 kilometres of coastline, there is always a spot to relax. The beaches generally slope gently into the sea, making them suitable for children (though always be aware of tides and currents). The flat landscape of the Vendée is perfect for cycling, boasting more than 700 kilometres of cycle paths. A ride through the stunning Marais Poitevin (known as Green Venice) comes highly recommended. For a touch of city life and history, take a day trip to the vibrant port city of La Rochelle (60 km) or visit Les Sables d’Olonne (40 km).
